It is measured in millions of texels applied in a second. The better this number, the better the video card will be at handling texture filtering (anisotropic filtering - AF). This number is worked out by multiplying the total number of texture units of the card by the core speed of the chip. Texel Rate: Texel rate is the maximum texture map elements (texels) that are processed per second. It especially helps with anti-aliasing, High Dynamic Range and high resolutions. The higher the bandwidth is, the better the card will be in general. If it uses DDR type RAM, it must be multiplied by 2 once again. It's calculated by multiplying the card's interface width by its memory clock speed. Memory Bandwidth: Bandwidth is the max amount of information (counted in MB per second) that can be transferred over the external memory interface in a second. ![]()
